Because of this, the crop has been shown in movies and television shows that are set in the winter. Many recipes and foods are cabbage-based, such as sauerkraut. - A head of cabbage can be green, purple, or white.
- There are two types of cabbage: early and late.
- Early cabbage matures in 45 days and should be consumed while fresh.
- Late cabbage matures in 87 days and can be stored.
- The veggie is in season from November to April.
- The crop is closely related to broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower.
