Director of Operations GM Cannabis

A little about the business: Our client is a fast-growth, diversified operation in Michigan who have thrived in several industries, including the cannabis industry. What you would be doing:

  • Leading by example.  This a hands-on operational management position.  You will regularly be at the facilities driving accountability with the facility operational teams.
  • Affirm the Standard vision and mission statement and upholds organizational core values
  • Sets and takes direction from Ownership and establishes expectations and measurements for organizational achievements
  • Leads in developing, monitoring and updating the organization’s long-range plan
  • Effectively manages current operations and promotes the development of new facilities and services to meet changing market demands in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan
  • Guide operations to optimize efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources; generally oversees planning, developing, and implementing strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company

Qualifications: 

  • Strong senior-leadership, prior P&L management of a $30M+ size organization, and heavy project management
  • Experience in agriculture and/or horticulture/greenhouse REQUIRED
  • Ability to relocate to be on-site
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year accredited college, MBA Preferred
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing, processing and distribution.
  • Experience across multiple functions including operations, finance and sales
  • Expertise with start-ups / fast growth company/fast paced environments
  • An energetic, passionate, forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
  • Strong Ability to measure against KPI

Farm Irrigation Specialist – Equipment Operator for Ford Farms

A little about the business: Welcome to Ford Farms, located in New Raymer, Colorado. We are a family-owned and operated diversified farm with a cow/calf operation along with raising hay and crops mainly for our own feed. You would be joining a close-knit operation working directly with the owners daily. You will be a key player on the team supporting all areas of the farm.  

What you would be doing: 

  • Oversee and manage all irrigation systems, setting tubes, pipes, and ditch preparation and care.
  • Operate farm machinery such as hay equipment, tractors, trucks, and other heavy equipment.
  • Haul grain, silage and other crops and drive tender truck.
  • Perform light maintenance and repairs on implements, equipment and tractors.
  • Work closely with our livestock taking care of calves, herd health and feed.
  • Perform general labor on the farm such as ground maintenance and cleaning equipment.
  • Lift up to 75lbs and be able to work on your feet throughout the day.

Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in farming, agriculture and/or relatable experience.
  • Experience with farm irrigation systems and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to drive a semi.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving with a focus on doing things right the first time.

  • Responsible for strategically achieving sales targets and objectives in the assigned territory

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required / Master s Degree preferred in Agriculture or ag related field
  • 5-7-year experience in a sales role in the Agribusiness industry, interacting with both the technical & commercial staff of growers and distributors with successful results;
  • 5+ years of Account Management experience, must have an established network and customer base
  • Possess detailed knowledge of common agronomic crops and production practices common to the region assigned.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply scientific concepts and become an expert on our portfolio of products

Farm Operations Supervisor for Danner Farms

A little about the business: Danner Family Grain is a 5th generation family owned row-crop and livestock farming operation, located in West Liberty, Iowa. 

What you would be doing:

Responsible for the overall safety and security of the farm, and ensuring all operations duties, including (but not limited to): planting, tillage, spraying and harvest responsibilities are completed timely and efficiently as directed by the Operations Manager/Owner. This position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling and coaching workers as assigned to ensure each employee (including one’s self) are efficiently meeting operations goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, desired
  • 5+ years working in row crop operations
  • 2+ years Lead or Supervisory experienced, required
  • Proficient in operating, repairing, and maintaining row crop farming equipment (including self-propelled sprayers, irrigation systems and John Deere Technology Monitors)
  • Pesticide Applicators License and valid Class A CDL is desired
