Technical Account Manager for Valagro USA, Inc.

A little about the business:  Valagro USA is a subsidiary of Valagro S.p.A., a leader in the production and commercialization of biostimulants and specialty nutrients for use in agriculture and industrial applications. Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Atessa, Italy, Valagro is committed to providing innovative and effective solutions for plant nutrition and care.

What you would be doing:

  • Achieves sales targets by generating demand assuring technical and commercial expertise to the customer/organization’s key stakeholders.
  • Delivering specific technical support on all Valagro products (both branded and/or private labels) to the organization of the customer assigned.
  • Acts as a problem solver for technical customer inquiries.
  • Develops and implements quarterly business plans that include forecasting.
  • Organizes and executes the local commercial initiatives: managing demo trials, field days, and local commercial activities according to the action plan developed with customers.


  • Bachelor’s Degree Required / Master s Degree preferred in Agriculture or ag-related field
  • 3 years of experience in a Sales role in the Agribusiness industry (preferably in special fertilizer, plant nutrition, and/or biocontrol).
  • Should have experience interacting with both the technical and commercial staff distributor or inside distributor activity.
  • Good knowledge of the specific geographic territory assigned with vast experience or knowledge of key crops in the area.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of common agronomic crops and production practices common to the region assigned.

Vertical Farm Manager for Vertical Field

A little about the business: Vertical Fields, a thought leader in the vertical farming and landscaping industry since 2006, is expanding their US team. 

What you would be doing: 

  • Overseeing all operations of the farm including growing, harvesting, and packaging
  • Setting standards for growing all crops with the agronomist at HQ
  • Ensuring proper preparation for harvesting times
  • Maintaining or replacing the needed equipment
  • Works with local nurseries to provide constant, quality supply of crops
  • Experimenting with growing conditions to improve efficiency


  • 2+ years experience growing leafy greens, herbs, and/or lettuce in a vertical farming, greenhouse, hoop house or traditional farm environment
  • Extensive knowledge of botany and the art of growing plants
  • Excellent people skills
  • Forward-thinking mindset, able to see the big picture at all times
  • High school diploma or equivalent with experience is great; a bachelor’s degree in agronomy, horticulture, agriculture, botany, crop science, plant science or related horticultural/agricultural field is a plus.

  • Have pen riding or farm/ranch experience.
  • Have good computer skills.
  • Own a horse (can have up to three and feed is paid for).
  • Are able to understand and execute directions.
  • Consider yourself to be a team player.
  • Maintain company cattle health protocols.

  • Ensure monthly accruals, allocations and other complex journal entries are accurate as new information is obtained


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in one or more of the following: Accounting, Finance, Audit, Tax, or Treasury
  • Advanced knowledge and direct application of GAAP to include reviewing and preparing general ledger accounts, reviewing complex journal entries for accuracy, and preparing financial statements
  • Advanced knowledge of and direct work experience with accounting policies, programs, procedures and practices, financial reporting requirements, budgeting, and forecasting
